Blond Mermaid at the Bottom of the Sea

"Blond Mermaid at the Bottom of the Sea" was painted with acrylic on a primed 8 x 10 inch canvas stretched on a wood frame. The 1 1/2 inch edge on the side back of the painting makes it easy to hang on a nail or push pin tack. The rectangle canvas came stretched and primed for painting from an art store. The edges are painted aqua green and quotes are written on them.

This painting is inspired by a piece of mermaid art I saw on Pinterest; she's conversing with the fish amongst the seaweed, shells, sand and crab. The quote on the left slanted edge reads: "If you want to know how much I love you, count the waves", and the on the right side it reads: "A lover knows the face of their partner like a sailor knows the sea."
